I had too much discharge and had a culture taken which showed strep A - so they gave me antibiotics. I’ve got one left and it feels worse then ever. I’ve just checked the ph level with the canestan test and that is suggesting I now have Bv. I’ve read that this is caused by antibiotics but also needs antibiotics for treatment. I’m wondering whether I need to give it a few days for the ph to settle or whether I should go back? I tried today but I can’t get an appointment.
any advice? I’ll try the go again tomorrow but in the case of not being able to get an appointment I wondered if I should be trying the gel things they sell in the chemist…..
