So around 8 months ago I went for a blood test as I was suffering with excruciating period cramps mixed with bad wind when I was on my period. The bloods came back with raised ca125 at 42. Had ultrasound which came back with nothing sinister just enlarged vessels on one of my ovaries (pelvic congestion syndrome) I went for the bloods re done they had come down to 39 but still above the 35 they should be. Forgot about it the periods calmed a lot but still get a day or two where the cramps are like contractions no gas though. But I'm 33 and my hormones are like that of a teenager acne on my face, back and chest. Went back to see the dr had bloods done again and ca125 raised at 46. Had the blood test 2 days after my period had stopped - 7 days after first day of period so dr said this shouldn't cause it to rise. Shes referred me to gynaecology under 2 week rule and for another ultrasound. Reading through these forums has been reassuring but I'm wondering if anyone has had similar with endo maybe re the hormones like acne etc. feel like I've had this since a teenager can be so sore at times. Can't say my other symptoms are unbearable I'm just confused why the ca125 keeps coming back high. TIA x

CA125 is an inflammation marker. It can be raised when endometriosis is present. Your severe period cramps could point to endometriosis being present. It’s usually diagnosed via laparoscopy and is not readily detected on internal ultrasound scans.

A condition called polycystic ovarian syndrome can be responsible for the skin problems you are having too.

Thank you. They did check my hormone levels and said they were all in the normal range but didn't say they were ruling out PCOS. I'm hoping when I see gynae they will investigate further re the endometriosis. I just can't help but worry it's something sinister 🥺

Other than acne I don't have any of the symptoms of PCOS a lot of them I'm the opposite my periods are very regular. I don't grow excessive hair and not over weight. I have tried different contraception when I was younger but I still suffered with the acne.
