Is it normal to have these kind of periods?
since I came off my pill in December 2022 by periods have been irregular between 28-49 days they normally do last for 6 days although I have been having the odd cycle where I’ve spotted for about 3 days after.
The question is related to when I’m on my period day one is normally a normal period red blood thick but not heavy not light. Then after that for the next 5 or so days I’m very light and it’s dry and brown I could probably have one pad like the whole 5 days (obviously I don’t 🙈)
Is this normal? I went to the gynaecologist for this and other reasons and she told me that irregular periods are normal and I’m lucky to have light periods 🤷🏼‍♀️

A "normal" cycle is a cycle length of between 21 and 35 days or with less than 4 days of variation from month to month.

Irregular periods like you describe are not normal. They're often caused by hormonal imbalances; in this respect a condition called polycystic ovaries is a common culprit.
