Hi all..
I love the combined pill... been on for 5 years or so and am 38.. if controls my terrible depressive pmt I get the week before my period as I only have the break every 3 months.

I was wondering : I'm 38 now...when they change you to hrt?
I also know the pill I'm on comes in two doses of estrogen and I'm on the lower... as I get older is it better to increase estrogen?

Not looking for medical advice, I know the gp is there but also know gps aren't always particularly well versed in hormonal stuff.

What experience of this have others had?

Thanks :)

I’m 44 and still on a combined pill. Now I am so old I have to have a yearly check up to make sure I am ok to stay on it, that started once I turned 40.

I don’t think you get automatically changed to hrt anyway do you?! That’s surely a separate thing to deciding to come off the pill.

My GP advised that as long as the pill I was on was controlling my symptoms she was happy for me to stay on it until I was 50 as I'm classes as 'low risk'. She advised there is no reason to switch over to HRT until symptoms are no longer controlled by the pill.
