Provera

Has anyone used Provera to delay a period? Does it shift your cycle from then onwards or just delay the one you use it for?

I started taking these today for a holiday in July. I didn't want to delay the period due on the holiday as i've read on here that people still get a lot or all of the usual symptoms like feeling bloated, hungry, moody, tired etc. I figured it would be better to delay this one and hope my June and July periods come as usual after the delay this month. It would be good to hear from others if taking these had a knock on effect for future periods. Fingers crossed someone comes along to answer your question.
