Omg the worst period cramp 😫

I have just had a sudden cramp, the worst in my 51 years.
It's just easing now after ibuprofen and paracetamol.
It lasted 20 minutes and was worse than contractions, as at least they eased off!
I have a warm wheat bag and in bed. But I'm cold.

What fresh he'll is this?!

I'm 48 and has this about 3 months ago. One random, worse than child birth, period cramp. I normally have none. Once it had subsided (also about 20-30mins) I slept deeply for about 40 mins. It was a weekday about 10 am (I WFH). It was so weird. Hasn't happened again so far!

I had this. Lastning a couple of hours first time and returned on several occasions. Turned out to be adenomyosis. A mirena has helped a lot. I hope for you that this is just a one off 💐

I really feel for you 💐 I used to get the period pain from hell. I remember hanging on to my ex crying, saying that if I was going to be tortured like this every month until the menopause, I didn’t want to live. Sounds melodramatic but I absolutely meant it.
