Please give advice on merena coil

I hope someone can advise I’m not looking for professional advice I’m just abit worried as it’s the weekend and don’t have access to my GP till Monday ..

cut long story short I had the merena coil fitted on February 22nd and since then I have had bleeding and spotting I have a period when my due date comes every 28 days which lasts 2 weeks then I’m back to spotting every day… stringy brownish red black aswell kind of discharge … also tiny tiny red tissue in the toilet when I have a wee…

is this a normal kind of process ????

any advice would be appreciated

Yes completely normal. My first coil this happened for about 4 months then no periods for 4 years. The current one is still like this 10 months on 😭

@Chemistrychic thanks so much for ur reply … I forgot to mention I feel like absolute crap aswell 😒 so what’s ur symptoms on this second coil u have do u have all the gunk coming out aswell?

What’s worrying me is the tiny red tissue when I wee 🙈

Yes, it's getting less each month but really frustrating. I have had a scan to check all is well and they said it's just still settling. Try not to worry. Two months is early days.

Yes normal. I had mine taken out just after a year because it didn’t stop
