Is it worth trying to get a gp appointment?

Im 32 and since turning 30 my periods are awful.

I bleed so much it leaks onto my clothes and bedding even tho i wear a cup and period pants.

The pain gets so bad the day before and a couple of day during i can barely sleep and do my normal day to day stuff.
The actual cycle itself is normal every 25-28 day and i bleed for 5 days

I have 3 children and a history of multiple miscarriages. I had a miscarriage a couple of months ago. ( not trying to get pregnant)

Would yhe gp even to anything?

They can prescribe tranexamic acid and mefenamic acid to help.
In reality they should refer for a scan to check for fibroids or something but I know waiting lists are so long you may get fobbed off. Definitely go. I lived like that for years before putting my foot down and getting anywhere, resolving it took far, far longer but that’s down to my area, yours may be better. Good luck,
