Heart attack or overdose on coffee and anxiety attack

So I need some help on what other people might think.
on Tuesday I took some weight loss tablets from Amazon but didn’t realise I took double the amount I should have, they container around 400mg of coffee. I didn’t sleep well the night before either so I had around 7 coffees in the morning.
a round lunch time my heart rate started raising and chest went really hot. My heart rate went to 140 and stayed like that for ages. I went into full panic mode and my left jaw slightly hurt and my left arm. My chest also felt heavy but I’m not sure if it was anxiety or actual heavyness. My friend drove me home and laid me on the sofa as I was too scared to go hospital.
so I know I had a massive caffeine overdose but I don’t know whether I maybe did actually have a heart attack too? The symptoms went on for a couple of hours and then I felt rough the rest of the night.
going for an ekg on Saturday but wondered if I’m over thinking this massively and it was just a caffeine overdose and panic.
thanks anyone who can respond!

In hindsight I would have got medical help at the time to do obs, ecg and bloods. Who has arranged the ecg for Saturday. Sadly you don't know what was really in the pills, hope you feel better soon.

You should have got medical help.
I would be inclined to think it was a caffeine induced panic attack (I’ve had them from energy drinks that I no longer drink), but if it was a heart attack they will know if it’s happened. There’s lots of tests they can do to check. You can also have just a one off heart attack with no damage, it doesn’t mean it would happen again. If there was any damage you would have likely been worse than you were. Try not to worry. The lesson to learn is to not buy any medication of any sort from the internet.

Had a similar thing myself a few years ago. I'd had a lot of coffee during morning and took DD out for a tea and cake to cafe in the afternoon felt really weird and all but passed out, thought i was dying then heart started to race really fast. Went home and went to bed for a few hours as felt ill. Needed go to the loo every 15 minutes, which i thought odd. Went to Doctors on the next morning and she said that she thought i'd come close to having a cardiac arrest. she said the constant needing to pass urine was a sign of a heart problem. I had these problems for a few weeks, and had to go to A and E where i had lots of tests. I don't take cafffine any more and have been fine

Thanks all! I know I should have got medical help but I was just trying my hardest to stay calm and knew that if I went to the hospital I might get more panicked and make my heart worse. I’m going for an ecg Saturday so I am hoping they will be able to tell then if everything’s ok. I’m only 31 but I felt so sure it was more than just a panic attack, but as I said it was definitely a caffeine overdose and will never take the pills again.

The doctor has arranged for this. I’m going to see them at a medical centre. I explained exactly what has happened. I know I should have got help at the time. I’m just so anxious.
thank you
