Hi all. I had the copper coil fitted in September of last year. Periods were normal and regular before this. Since having the coil in I've been bleeding almost constantly. There is maybe one week out of the month that I'm not. I'm also quite bloated and crampy a lot of the time. Sometimes the bleeding is light spotting and other times it's heavy like a period.
When I had it fitted I was told some irregular bleeding was normal for 'the first few months' but how many is a few? It's been 7 months now and no improvement. Unfortunately I'm quickly running out of contraceptive options (can't take the regular pill or anything containing estrogen as I'm a migraine sufferer, the mini pill and Nexplanon implant ALSO made me bleed constantly). I don't know whether to persevere with it and hope it improves or just give up with it.
Any advice or experiences?
