Has anyone had decent results with an at home thyroid test?
My doctors are impossible to get into and they are reluctant to order blood tests half the time.
I have a long family history of thyroid problems and I seem to now be showing symptoms.
I was tested before years ago and fine but I'm older now.

Following with interest. I don't think I have a family history but I feel like I have developed symptoms.

Mine could be attributed to possible peri (I know nothing about it really but google says so)
Weight gain, hair disappearing sudden scalp problems, brain fog. My eyebrows and hair areas are disappearing, exactly what happened to my mum

I haven't done at at-home thyroid test, so it's not what you're asking but I'd be banging on the door of the doctor's surgery for blood tests right now. You probably know how unwell you can get with low thyroid so I hope you can sort it out quickly. Why are they reluctant to sort a blood test?

Try monitormyhealth.org.uk, it is an nhs lab but does private tests ( finger prick at home and send back by post) for a reasonable price. The tests can include T3 or thyroid antibodies, depending which you choose.

My local surgery are honestly terrible.
I can certainly try though

Thankyou pp I will look into that 👍🏻

I’d pay to have it done privately TBH.

I have Hashimoto’s and it took an age to get the diet and medication right. Start as soon as you can because once you have symptoms it’s often far along!

Start with Thyroid UK website.
