Non-specific groin pain

Initially I thought it was pain from a hemorrhoid as it felt I bit uncomfortable to sit. I used some suppositories from a previous flareup but it hasn't seemed to help.

Then there has been a separate pain in my vulva - twinges is all I describe it.

I've not been sexually active in years but last year did have a coloscopy and hysterscopy to investigate a polyp seen on an ultrasound and they removed scar tissue from my c-section (16 years ago) and some endometriosis.

Depending on how I sit my buttocks just generally do hurt. I tried sitting on a bike (I don't cycle) just to see if it would hurt and it was excruciating.

I also do have IBS but I've not any abdominal pain.

Anyone experience anythibg similar?

I've spoken to the doctor and she is referring me to a gynae, but that wouldn't have been my first thought - as it was the bottom/anal area that I initially went to the GP for and was brushed off with some ointment.

It is just uncomfortable to sit.

I'm 46

@Deedoo - not really, I have an appointment with a hip consultant next month but I am not sure what the outcome will be. How about you? How was yours diagnosed and what are your symptoms?
