Histology results following polypectomy

Hello,

I had a uterine polyp removed coming up to 4 weeks ago on Monday. I still haven't received the biopsy results back and I'm so anxious.

I emailed the gynae secretaries last week on Wednesday who told me the consultant has dictated the letter and it's waiting for him to authorise it.

A week later and still nothing. I chased up yesterday and they said he still hadn't got round to it.

Is this a good sign? As he doesn't seem in any rush to get the results to me 😅

I got a letter today nearly 5 weeks from procedure of hysteroscopy, very very basic 2 line letter saying glad nothing is wrong and ‘apologising again’ for delay when I knew the earliest the results would be available is 6 weeks at biopsy date and the GP had a crack (after letting cat out of the bag) saying he’d be reading it even though I had the last smear days before in the room opposite which confirmed Hpv positive as NEGATIVE this year days before. Even my Mum who was on their side, said weird he chose not to confirm no fibroid found / tried not to mention it in the letter.

Apparently I’m seeing the very same consultant in 10 days time unless a much more urgent case comes in which sees him attend a better event and mess even further with my professional life. I just want to ask the guy why he thought it was ok to fit a coil for no apparent gynaecology reason in serving to make matters somewhat worse, I can just see him ducking with no integrity.

I even said god no I don’t have cancer to someone in an and e, I just hoped wrongly the nhs would help me get answers beyond this. Clearly, I was wrong.
