Nitrofurantoin causing tingling in hands/feet - anyone had this

Hi, I've been prescribed Nitrofurantoin for a UTI.
I've taken this before. I'm 2 doses in to this course and am getting pins and needles in hands and feet. Have spoken to a GP at my practice who said it's not listed as a side effect on the BNF but I've checked the NHS website which lists it as a reaction.
I obviously don't want to disagree with a GP but I'm supposed to be taking this for 3 months as a preventative. If this symptom doesn't settle I don't want to keep taking it.
Has anyone else had this symptom and if so did it settle ?

Not that but it fucked up my lungs. And then drs persuaded me that it hadn’t and i took it again and it fucked them up again and they still haven’t recovered from the second time. Some side effects of medicines are extremely rare. If they happen to you then you’re unlikely to have an understanding response from a dr. Other antibiotics exist, if I were you I’d stop taking it and go back to the doctor to ask for a different one.

@Dryt oh god how awful for you. I feel nauseous on this Antibiotic but can sort of put up with that it's the other stuff. Nitrofurantoin is a really old one- made in the 1950s I think but the NHS uses it as it's lower cost I suppose. Yes I'm gonna ask to change
