How can I delay my next period?

My period has just started, 9 days late. I think because of some pretty big stress mid March. I'm early 40s and usually regular. ( starting to become less so, looking back over past 12 months) Based on this I booked a holiday for the end of this month, based on when my period would not be. Now though, if I go onto my regular cycle my period will be right across my whole week away.
Is there any way to delay it/stop it?
If you have any advice on a great contraceptive pill that can do this- bonus points if it stops me from becoming a manic from the week before!! I took the pill for years but stopped as my partner had a vasectomy. I was reluctant to start again as I worry it could make my moods worse but I can't cope with this unpredictability. Grateful for any advice 🙏

You can order most contraceptive pills online, with an online consultation with a pharmacist (usually just a form). You can also buy Noresthisterone which is the period delay tablets
NHS website has info on delaying periods, if you Google NHS period delay.

Norethisterone. You can get it online or from your GP but it makes me feel rubbish (v low mood etc) so I choose just to have my period as crap as it is. But mine are short and not painful

Norethisterone, always works great no side effects for me.

Ok thankyou. I wonder if I should give it a bash or if my mood will plummet. Maybe I'd be best to try it not on a holiday and see how I go for future reference. Don't want to ruin the holiday for me and everyone around me!
