Provera for very heavy periods

Has anyone taken Provera to stop heavy periods caused by fibroids? I was given the mini pill but it hasn’t worked.

I’m trying to avoid surgery so my gynae has suggested this. Next step if this doesn’t work is a pill that will put me in temporary menopause.

Haven’t heard of this. Currently read book by Dr Anita Mitra. If I see this Provera I’ll shout out.
If you have submucous fibroids these are the type more likely to bleed.

My own crazy conspiracy is I took Cerazette for 6 months and that destroyed mine. But I’m worrying what’s going to happen now I can’t take that pill.

I take it twice a day to completely stop my periods as they were so heavy I couldn't walk. No obvious causes and had scans and found nothing. I get on with it very well.
