Chub rub before periods

I think I'm basically asking if I'm normal here! A few days before periods I suddenly get appalling chub rub, even with fairly high jeans. The only thing I can do is wear shorts underneath all trousers. Has anyone else come across this?

Guessing I'm alone in this then but bumping for a different crowd.

I get it badly during and after but not before. Probably not helpful

How does that work? Water retention do you think??

Not the same, but I seem to get a sore bum crack in the week before my period. Like sweaty and sore, despite showering the same amount as usual. Gone after period. Very odd. Hormones are annoying.

We really do get the shitty end of the stick being women. No idea if it's water retention or what but it bloody hurts! I think my skin just goes hyper sensitive.

Chub rub is when your thighs rub together and hurt/bleed.

I would assume water retention. I get puffy ankles and a thicker waist with it. Then pretty much overnight - all gone.

That would make sense. I'm obese so not surprising if I'm not noticing weight gain.
