I've been to the Drs today as I was concerned about some bleeding I was having after my period was supposed to end (my period should have finished around the 11th or 12th of this months but up until last Weds I was having some blood when I wiped after using the loo ) the nurse took some swabs and looked at my cervix and said that it was a bit red ,so she then called the Dr in to look who asked if I'd ever had any surgery (which I haven't ) she said it looked like there was scarring ?? At this point I was starting to feel very uncomfortable and worried ! The nurse then said they would refer me to the gynecologist at the hospital but to get me seen quicker it would be with the cancer specialist and that might need a biopsy - I started to freak out abit more then! She tried to reassure me that they don't think it is anything to be worried about as I had normal results from a smear in dec , but I can't help worrying that's its something bad , can anyone advise or has anyone had a similar experience ,I have extreme health anxiety as I also have a benign brain tumour !! Does this sound like cancer ??
