Nearly 2 months ago now, I had a biopsy done (at the same time as hysteroscopy and a coil being fitted, not a lot of fun but we got there)
I'm mid-40s, the consultant told me I was definitely not in menopause or peri, and recommended Mirena to help stabilise my crazy cycles, and asked for a biopsy "just in case", no suspicion of anything sinister.
The biopsy results finally came back yesterday stating "inactive endometrium consistent with progesterone effect from Mirena coil". Only the coil was only fitted on the day of the biopsy so that makes zero sense. (I had a copper coil before)
I have called the Gynaecology unit yesterday, and I'm still waiting for the doctor to call me back. Meanwhile the Internet is not helping...
Can anyone qualified make sense of why my endometrium could be inactive?? I'm starting to think something important has been missed and there is something really wrong with me ðŸ˜
