Premenstrual anxiety

So I've been monitoring my anxiety levels for the last couple of months and my diary confirms that 9-10 days before my period I'm irritable and anxious. This seems to be getting worse as I'm getting older and it's pretty much like clockwork. I've started taking evening primrose oil with star flower. That seems to have got the irritability under control. It might be early days yet to feel the full effects.

Does anyone have any quick and easy suggestions to get me through the next week? I know that fresh air will probably help so I'm going to take myself out for a walk at lunch. Does anyone have any other suggestions?

Shameless bump! I've self medicated with chocolate and a walk. Would prefer a healthier alternative to binging a bag of poppets! 🤣

I'm quite anxious generally and I definitely find walking in the fresh air helps. Dogs are a saviour.

I definitely experience a worsening of my anxiety a week or so before my period. I'm late 40's and perimenopausal, and suspect that is the cause!
