Hi everyone,

Just wondering if anyone has has a similar experience:

2 months after c-section I started having hip pain on the left side only. It's starting to get worse to the extent that sometimes I can't walk. I didn't have any hip pain during pregnancy or ever. I have been breast and bottle feeding and while hottie feeding I have been placing the baby more on the left side. Anyone has has similar experience? What's recommended action from here?

Also, my wound, which was generally healing well has started to feel tense at month 2.5 after c-section. I feel that it might be linked to putting the baby on my belly too much. Has anyone else experienced this too?

Any thoughts much appreciated!

Have you started any rehab exercises post c-section? I had pain and found that deep belly breathing helped as well as some basic yoga, my pain in my hip was directly related to diastasis recti which I have managed to help heal a bit through pelvic floor exercise x

Maybe you should speak to hv?
I had c-section, and personally didn't have peoblems, I've breast fed, but used cusions so I didn't have any pain particularly on either side of my body. But I've read that C- section do cut through your stomach muscle, needing you to work differently compared to natural birth.
So if you are maybe putting pressure on one side than the oter, resulting you ending up starining yourself, you may need some guidance to rectify it.

Hi @pizzanoodle did you get any support and improvement from this. I'm 2 months post c section and in agony with my hip, can barely walk and can't lift my baby. Looking into whether to go to hospital although from what I've read they say rest is what is needed (like that is easy with a baby and a 4 year old). I'm looking into going to a chiropractor or oestopath. But just wondered if anything you tried. Thanks
