Merena coil advice

Hi there i had my mirina coil fitted about 2 weeks ago... i have veeb hetting brien disacharge and bleeding in the forst wrek then all that started to settle... last month i had my period on thr 11/02/24 so i am due around this time.. yesterday i had brown discharge on my panty liner sorry if its TMI.. also i am feeling quite hot and getting hot and cold flushes is this my period???? Any advice would be appreciated x

It could be a period, but I thought that your periods stop completely with a Mirena.
The hot and cold could be a normal cold or virus or something.

It does take a little while for your body to adjust to this foreign body in it. I had on and off bleeding/ discharge and the hot flushes. If you’re feeling very uncomfortable/ unwell go back to your gp.

I was told by a colleague with over active thyroid periods don’t stop 🥲 seems the doctors put them in on a wing and prayer.

I was told to throw Cerazette away and given no transition advice so no wonder I sweat on and off. Decided never having a smear again or trusting a male gynae.
