Please don’t judge.

I was diagnosed with herpes around 3 years ago after my ex had given it me many years before. I have an outbreak every 6 months ish, usually when I’m stressed.

i slept with someone in October/November last year and pretty much two days later he told me had chlamydia. I tested straight away but it was negative so I thought I was safe.

3 weeks ago I did another test as I had some funky yellow/green mucus and what I thought was thrush. But I also haven’t had a period since January (not pregnant).

Turns out I had caught it. I took a weeks worth of antibiotics and thought that was it.

the last couple of days iv had extremely bad pain in my cervix/internal area and really bad cramping. Like extreme period pains.
im in so much pain. Iv felt my cervix and it’s so painful, I can’t really insert a finger as im so swollen and sore. I’m cramping really badly.

I don’t know what to do. I’m away with work until tomorrow. Do you think I could have PID?

You need to go to doctor.. or sexual clinic even better theyll test faster... or did you period come after the cramping?

PSEnny · 07/03/2024 18:47

PID does sound likely given your symptoms. Get seen urgently as the sooner it is treated the better. Good luck x

I’m so upset. I rang the doctors this morning and explained I’m in a lot of pain and said what’s going on. They booked me an appointment.

When I turned up it was a male junior doctor, he was extremely rude and dismissive and kept telling me I should have seen a female doctor.

anyway after he went to speak to another male doctor iv been told to go to the gynaecology clinic tomorrow.

iv just found a fleshy painful lump on the entrance of my vagina as well which i think it causing me my most pain and swelling so now im panicking lots. Im cramping still.

no period in 2 months.

i think i caught the sti in late October. The guy told me 2 days later that he had it, I tested but it was negative and I stupidly thought I hadn’t caught it, until I tested again last month.

I’m in so much pain.

im so so so nervous about tomorrow. I had a traumatic birth and ended up having repair surgery and I have ptsd of anything medical going on down there. I struggle massively with even a smear test.

You need to be on antibiotics asap. I had PID and ended up with quite substantial damage - I had an operation 6 weeks ago to remove that damage and it took 3.5 hours and I lost my fallopian tubes and part of an ovary. I hope they sort you out tomorrow - good luck.

Thank you.

im feeling very sorry for myself, im so sore down there.

iv been googling looking to see what this lump could be but no idea, it’s like a big skin tag that’s painful right on the entrance of my vagina

Sorry that you’re in so much pain. The lump could be a cyst that is infected. I hope that today goes well for you x

Thedarksideofrbemoon04 · 08/03/2024 12:29

I’m currently sat in gynaecology assessment unit.

they’ve just checked and it was the most painful thing iv ever had to go through and iv had alot of surgery down there. I nearly jumped off the bed. They have had to give me some strong painkillers. They said my cervix is really inflamed and swollen but looks normal. She is thinks I need a long dose of antibiotics.

telling so fragile and emotional

The antibiotics will help, take them for as long as necessary and go straight back at the slightest indication they have not been effective. Hopefully they’ll do the job x

scaredofff · 09/03/2024 03:04

Aw bless you sound in so much pain. I hope the painkillers and antibiotics give you some relief quickly

CupOfCoffeeandaPineappleChunk · 09/03/2024 03:21

So sorry this has Happened and you are feeling like this.
Is just bad luck that you took a test and it Didnt detect a positive result as it should have done as you needed to treat the chlamydia regardless. Whilst you need antibiotics are they saying these current symptoms are caused by the chlamydia it another infection possibly? Lots of different infections, some just random ones we can catch can also be a real pain and cause horrrible effects too. Regardless of the cause, you are getting treatment. Be sure to take the antibiotics according to the schedule and are make suelre you are dosed up with painkillers. Be gentle with yourself and give yourself a break from work if you are in the slightest bit able to,and rest. At the end of the antibiotics go back and check they have done their job, so for a swab to be sure.. wishing you ask the best of luck and to get well soon. Xx

Been on antibiotics since Friday and just had a scan, waiting to see the consultant afterwards but was told my copper coil is in my cervix and no where it should be.
