I’ve got thrush and yesterday, in desperation, took a pessary that was 3 years past its date from the back of the cupboard. It’s not worked yet (although I realise it kight take longer) but I’m so fed up with the itching I e bought another one (in date!). Does anyone know if I can take another so soon?

May cause discomfort and irritation, depends of if that would be worse than how you are already suffering I suppose.

“If you use too muchIf you use too much external clotrimazole cream or use it more often than you need to, it may make your skin irritated, or red. Use less cream the next time if this happens.
If you insert too many pessaries at the same time, you may feel discomfort or irritation. Stop using the pessaries and see a doctor if the discomfort or irritation does not go away.”

I’ve been Googling for ages and I didn’t see that 🤦🏻‍♀️. Thank you. I’m going to leave it another day in the hopes of improvement before going for another oessary.

Perhaps try one of the oral capsules instead? Not sure if you can have both so check at the pharmacy.

I'd wait 24/48 hours then take it .

Also drink tons of water. Always helps me!

Take Fluconozole. It’s a one off oral tablet . I took one on Tuesday evening and things are improving. The cream stopped the external itch but the internal cream doesn’t seem to have worked- maybe because I put it in before going for a walk! 🙄Most came out pretty quick.Interesting about the water @MyBigFatGreekSalad .
