Thyroid meds making me feel not good

Hello!

F/27 diagnosed with hashimoto disease. My TSH was at 4,2 in November, 1,9 at the beginning of January and 3,2 at the end of January.

Endocrinologist put me on 50mcg of Levothyroxine sodium because she said my thyroid isn’t stable and I had many symptoms of hypothyroidism. Now alsmost two weeks in I feel very anxious, hyperactive, I’m not sleeping well and I had an episode of very shaky hands a few days ago.

Is this normal when adjusting to meds or could mine be too high for me?

Thanks so much!

When do you take them? I'm better taking mine before bed

Could be too much too soon, yes.

I would have thought they’d start you off on 25mcg initially then re-test your levels a few months later, and see how you feel. Going from 0 to 50 is quite a big jump. Whenever my thyroxine is changed it’s done 25mcg at a time and even then my levels can swing about a lot.

Can you speak to your doctor about this?

I take mine bedtime too. Also don’t have any caffeine before you take your tablets.
