Hi I wrote a post last Friday as I was beside my self thinking I was pregnant. getting lots of kicking sensations. Any way did pregnancy test negative. When to the nurse on Monday she did a pregnancy test negative and a blood test both negative. Checked my pee and I had blood in urine. She give me strong antibiotics 3 times a day.

I've got cramps tighten, pain and movement feels all over my back tummy and lower abdomen. I've been taking antibiotics for 5 days got 2 left. It's reduced it but nothing major. Still peeing loads not burning as much. It's just I'm so bloated and cramps tighten feeling.

Has any one suffered with this before how long did it last x

I've had a lot of UTIs and the movement sensations and bloating don't sound like normal symptoms. The antibiotics should have made you feel much better around the three day mark. Unfortunately I think you'll need to go back and have your urine cultured so they can give you the correct antibiotic. When they dipped the urine was there anything else in there (such as nitrites?) or just blood? Do you have pain in your side or is it more generalised? Is there any chance you could have an STI?

Agree with pp. The nurse should have sent the urine of for cultures. It sounds like you haven't been given the correct antibiotic to treat the bug that's causing your symptoms. You need to go back and ask for a culture to be sent off and explain your symptoms ate no better.
The'kicking' sensation does not sound at all normal for a UTI, is it possible there is wind teapots in your bowls rumbling around, this can cause bloating and make you feel like this ( antibiotics could make it worse)?

Trapped... no teapots involved!

Nurse did say she was sending the sample off and would contact me if there was any thing else. But said if didn't to just see how I get on

I've had several UTIs and they always say to go back if you're not feeling notably better by day 3-4 of the antibiotics, as sometimes you need stronger/different antibiotics, or it could be something else entirely

i had antibiotics a couple of weeks ago for uti, only 3 days..... my symptoms back ache and stomach pain.... after the antibiotics, i still had the back ache and belly ache ( in random places, mainly on the left side) back ache got worse... went to docs and she said there was blood in my urine and she thinks i need an ultrasound, rule out kidney stones etc.... told her ive had a uti before and it took a couple of weeks and two lots of antibiotics to get rid of it, so shes prescibed me 7 days worth. im on day 2 now. have to go back in 7 days if i have the belly ache and stomach ache still and she ll send me for ultrasound.
