I need a hand hold…telephone appointment

Hi all,

I am feeling scared and nervous right now. In January I had a colposcopy due to 3 years of abnormal smears.
The doctor said he thought it was CINS2, possibly 3.
I understand that I will most likely need a LLETZ procedure to remove the abnormal cells.
I’ve just received a text informing me I have a telephone appointment with a specialist on Tuesday.
Is this standard? I was expecting a letter.
I’m really really worried it’s c. If it was, wouldn't they want me in face to face rather than a phone call?

I am going to be stressing about this until Tuesday now ☹️

I'm sorry OP, I don't have any experience of this but I didn't want to read and run. A telephone appointment doesn't sound too cynical in and of itself - if you think you're likely to need a procedure it may be that they want to talk through it with you?
