Bloody discharge

Had DD 6 months ago and periods returned around 3 months ago.

Today in the shower I've noticed some thick bloody discharge. I've never spotted in between periods, and my next period isn't due for another week or so.

Just wondering if this is normal/has anyone else experienced this, or should I be concerned?

I've exercised today but nothing too strenuous and do have some lower back pain but put this down to crap positions that I've been breastfeeding a very chunky girl in.

No really knowledge on this OP, but commenting to try and bump this for you.

I had similar once as I was adjusting to HRT. Are you on any contraception?

Is DD your first? If it only happens once I’d probably say it’s just your body returning to its normal pre-pregnancy state and was maybe a hormone blip. If it happens again might be worth checking with GP?

Thank you - no contraception and yes, this is my first. Nothing since, had a quick check to see if anything internal and no blood etc so doubt early period.

I think as a one off, without any other symptoms (like temperature/odour) I wouldn’t worry - just note the date down somewhere. If it happens again, call the GP just in case.
