Sore nipples post menopause

For the last week my nipples have been really tender, just like they used to feel before my period started, but I am 59 and went through menopause 2 years ago. Has anyone else had this? Is it normal?

Hi, I'm having the same problem. I'm 50 this year and periods stopped 2 years ago. Felt fine up to a month ago and now I feel as though I'm going to start my period. Sore nipples, period cramps 😱 I thought I was over all of this. My nipples feel so sensitive though. Does anyone know if this is normal postmenopause?

Hi @meanwhileupnorth just us then 😅
My sore nipples lasted about 10 days and I was getting a few period type cramps too and a bit of white discharge All back to normal now though. Obviously it’s not that common but don’t think it’s anything to worry about either.

Yes just us 🤣

I have got white discharge as well. I've booked an appointment to see my doctor next week, just to make sure everything is ok. My breasts feel so big (not normally) and very sore. Definitely something hormonal going on, thought all this was behind me 😏

@meanwhileupnorth - yes, defo hormonal and I thought I was done with it all too. Good luck with Dr appt, it’s a good idea to get checked out. I was on the verge of making an appointment but all my symptoms suddenly stopped so I didn’t bother. I’d be interested to hear what they say.

@meanwhileupnorth - did you see the Dr? What did they say?
