Desogestrel and bleeding.

Hi All
I'm sure it's normal but I'm just wondering...I started desogestrel 5 months ago and periods stopped completely no breakthrough bleeding or spotting not a single thing.
I started bleeding 30th Jan and haven't stopped yet it's not much but it's consistent. Just wondering if anyone else has experienced this? I'd have expected breakthrough at the beginning not after so long. Also sorry for TMI but I really smell too 🫣
Thanks in advance xx

I was on this for a while and my GP said it would affect my periods in one of 3 ways - reduce them, increase them or they'd remain the same. It didn't agree with me and my cycles became even more erratic than without taking anything so I gave up on it.

It's hormonal so there is no telling what it'll do until you try it and see if what happens to you on jt is something you can live with.

Thank you hun! I'm guessing I thought I'd got lucky the first 5 months and it'd be plain sailing

I was given it to try and reduce my heavy bleeding - which it did somewhat, but I ended up with brown discharge every single day for weeks instead. Gave up after a few months.

For me this is normal. I'm on the same pill and take it continuously. I can go months and months and months with no bleed, then one day I'll get a breakthrough bleed / get mucky discharge for about 3-4 weeks. Then nothing again for ages.

I have this once a year. Really random. Around May/June time. Other than that nothing.

Thank you all kindly for your replies. I will persevere x
