Has anyone used natural cycles to prevent pregnancy successfully?

I fell pregnant using natural cycles. I can't take hormonal contraceptives, so it seemed like a good option. However, I tracked religiously but fell pregnant quickly. We decided to continue with the pregnancy but I had a missed miscarriage at 12 weeks. All in, a very difficult experience and I wouldn't recommend.
