What is this on my boob?

Cropped / marked up to avoid pervs.

This thing has been growing just inside my areola for a few months. I thought it was just an overgrowth of skin / a skin tag but it now looks like the same texture as my nipple.

It doesn't hurt, is soft if squeezed and has a think attachment at the base (like a skintag).

Starting to think it's a GP appointment, but I feel like a hypochondriac at the moment as I've been in and out of there for months for unrelated issues!

One hundred percent see GP with this.

I'll do an e-consult in the morning - they close it when it reaches capacity and it had filled by the time I'd posted this today.

Its most probably a wart, or Hyperkeratosis , benign, they will freeze it off

OooohAhhhh · 24/01/2024 10:53

I'd ring your GP surgery today anyway. Anything boob related has to be taken seriously be Drs. You may find you would be seen asap regardless of missing e consultant etc.

This is the reply this morning 😂😂 Will see what they say when they get back to me. I sent photos, so they've had a look at those.

I've said I want it removed whatever it is so we'll see!

Looks like a skin tag or wart. Well done for getting it checked out! Hopefully they can just freeze it off!

OooohAhhhh · 24/01/2024 11:14

That's very reassuring! That and the fact that 9/10 referrals aren't anything serious as well, so I would take that as very positive news. You're being dealt with now too which is great.

Looks like a papilloma. I had one behind my ear many years ago. Had it removed as it was catching on my hairbrush. Never had another one.

Seeing the Dr on Tuesday morning - they called back this afternoon. Made a big thing of it being a female Dr. I'm not bothered about it being a woman or a man I see, but I guess they are!

Looks like a skin tag but have you always had it or is new

RedCarsGoFaster · 30/01/2024 13:27

GP happy it's essentially a skin tag and also checked a mole on my arm.

There's no minor surgery clinic running at the moment and may not be back up for another year so she said its private removal if I want it gone!
