Hi all,

I'm 31 and for as long as I can remember have had completely regular cycles 25-27 days, with ovulation on around day 13.

We've been trying to conceive for 2.5 years now with one miscarriage 13 months ago.

This cycle I had spotting a week after ovulation, one week before my period is due.

This has never ever happened before and I can't find a reason for it so led myself to believe it could be implantation. However this morning I've had a BFN. ☹️

Anyone know what the spotting could have been? Do I need to be concerned? 😫

I’m sorry it’s been such a long journey. Have you considered speaking to the gp and doing any fertility testing?
When I was ttc my dd, it took years and I randomly had spotting too. Convinced myself it was implantation but it wasn’t. After going to the gp they said I had a uti and that’s where I was spotting from.
Are you testing early?

@Hiddenvoice thanks for you reply xx
Yes we've been to the GP and all my testing was completely normal, I'm yet to have a fertility ultrasound though as the GP won't offer it anymore so I'll have that soon privately.
Did you find out your reason for taking a long time to conceive?
It's strange because I only had spotting for one day then it was totally gone after that!
I spotted at 7dpo and tested at 10dpo, AF is due 13/14dpo. I know it's early but I thought 3 days after implantation the HCG would probably show up on a sensitive test? Thats why I feel like I'm definitely out ☹️

No there was absolutely no reason for why it took so long. It was close to 3 years before I found out I was pregnant. We decided to put a pause on things and look into other options when I realised I was 2 days late.
Im pregnant just now with my second, I get pregnant straight away but didn’t get a positive test until one day before my period was due. Even then the test was incredibly faint until I was about a week late so I wouldn’t say you’re out just yet!

Oh its always when u finally give up or adopt or plan something big.. and then it happens x
Wait a few days, i know we love to test like maniacs, but just try to be positive..or like me... threw all the tests and everything in the bin, cried and completely gave up in my head that I'llnever have another child, and of course next month..
It will happen when it wants to happen, I'm sending you positive energy
