I'm at my wit's end

I have struggled with irregular bleeding and menstrual issues since my late teens. I am now in my 30s and it just gets worse, I now bleed 3 weeks out of 4, sometimes it's light other times heavy.

Over 15 years I've tried various birth control pills, but it gave me other issues and often didn't stop the frequency of bleeding, only the volume. I've visited the gyno twice, the first time they said they can't see a problem, the second time they identified a fibroid. I've had blood tests and visited the GP more times than I can count. He only recommends the coil at this point and does not understand why I don't want it. I don't like the thought of having it and surely there is another option?

I am anaemic and I take iron tablets, but I still feel faint.

I am up to date on smears, which have always been fine.

The second half of my cycle is a nightmare in other ways too, I have sore itchy skin and I'm so tired with low mood.

I have asked about endometriosis but the gyno was reluctant to do surgery, which is the only way to diagnose, as it doesn't actually cure, only confirms it. They don't seem too fussed about it being endometriosis.

Does anyone have a similar experience, I'm just lost at this point.

I had both the implant and the injection at different times in my life and they stopped my periods.

I had an endometrial ablation for heavy bleeding like yours and haven't had a period since. It was a godsend but they will only do this if you have finished having children as it can nake you sterile. Best thing I ever did
