No heavy bleeding fibroid symptoms

Hello,

Can anybody shed any light on symptoms for fibroids, which don't sit within the womb cavity, and therefore don't present with the usual heavy bleeding?

Thanks!

I have large pedunculated fibroids and had no symptoms until part way through a pregnancy. Suddenly I was in agony as the blood supply was being cut off to the fibroids so they were causing extreme pain. I couldn't eat, vomited constantly and was hospitalised for a week. It then came back a few weeks later just before I gave birth and the pain masked the contractions and I wasn't believed that I was in labour.

After the birth I was supposed to have the fibroids removed but Covid hit and then I got pregnant again. I've had no further contact about the removal and the second pregnancy wasn't affected by the fibroids (2nd baby is now almost 2), but am now suffering from quite nasty pains, very heavy periods and pain if I do anything strenuous. This may or may not be anything to do with the fibroids.

As far am I'm aware, fibroids outside the womb don't usually cause too much of an issue or symptoms unless they get incredibly large like mine did.

It has pissed me off that by having fibroids, my life insurance will not pay out on any 'female' cancer I may get in future and they will not cover anything related to gynaecological matters.

Mine are/ were outside the womb and caused severely heavy bleeding. I also developed a pregnant belly as they were pulling the uterus upwards. Also had pressure on my bladder and frequent peeing and pressure on my bowels causing flatulance and some issues with constipation.
I had an embolization 6 months ago but I am getting some symptoms back so I fear they have regrown.

I have a Fibroid (small at time of internal US) said to be in the lining of the womb. I don't know the type.

When I attended first gynae appointment they sort of said it could be a polyp after listening to Mum's history.

I don't have the massive period bleeds or the clots. My symptoms are lower back ache at times, bowels and bladder never been the same (I know it is said as we age this happens but it has never felt right since it all started) legs heavy and pressure feeling (which started out as numbness) I used to get a pulsating feeling but that seems to have stopped.

I think it liked antibiotics (I got some restbite for a while) and I think the pill might be helping which I self put myself on (I still get v light breakthrough bleeding)

The small fibroid was taken seriously due to HPV and the prior erratic periods.

Thanks so much everybody.

@Guttedme seriously, I could've written that!! It's so interesting to hear from somebody who has symptoms which do not relate to heavy bleeding, or just to pain. Thank you so much for sharing.

I do hope everybody who suffers with these gets sorted out, it's such an under known area.
