Are 8 day periods normal?
I’m on day 8 of my period it’s definitely lightened up but still red.
I do have irregular periods but the period normally lasts about 5/6 days never had one this long ever. I’ve been getting the odd shooting pain but that comes and goes random. This is what my cycle normally looks like …

Normal for some people. But not for you, by the sound of it. Not helpful, sorry.

Wondering whether it can be perimenopause as have similar

I have 8-10 day periods, every three weeks. It's normal for me. If it's not normal for you you speak to a GP.

Mine are really erratic and always have been. Some months there has been nothing ( when I was young and sexualy active it scared me stupid! ) at all other months very heavy and lasting 12 days.

My DM could almost time hers to the hour and were very regular. Envy --> 🤢

However as pp say if its not normal for you a trip to the doc's may be in order.

update - I thought I finished yesterday on day 8 but been spotting today a bit on a pad and when I wipe, don’t know if to class this as my period or what. God knows what’s happening to my body?
