TMI - mole appeared on areola?

Sorry if this is TMI but seeing if anyone has had similar experience- I'm currently 35 weeks pregnant and my breasts have obviously changed through my pregnancy. I've recently noticed what looks like a mole/dark spot appear on one of my areolas. Could this be something due to the pregnancy changes? It is slightly raised and appeared slightly a couple of weeks ago.

My partner took a look and having had a breast cancer scare himself wants me to get it checked asap however I do not want to waste anyone's time if it's a common occurrence. TIA

I had something similar when pregnant and it disappeared some time after I’d given birth. I’d have it checked anyway, just in case but try not to worry in the meantime.

Same as above, I had a new mole or two appear during pregnancy so don’t worry too much but you should absolutely go and get it checked by the GP just in case. They won’t see it as a waste of time at all. Mine was lovely about it and put my mind at ease, they do take it seriously. I always get any mole changes checked as melanomas can develop very rapidly. Also take photos to check for any further changes.

I had a couple appear there. I did get one of them checked, it’s all but disappeared now 🙂 I’d say you may as well get it checked, new moles even in pregnancy are worth checking out I reckon.
