Help. I have been having a mild , low grade headache on my right side for almost a year. It causes problems in my right eye. Last may my GP called me in and sent me straight to the hospital as she thought I had temporal arteritis, I didn't but they sent me to the ophthalmology dept for a scan on my eye. The scan came back clear, no issues. The headache, still low grade continues, sometimes get a sharp stab of low grade pain. I have seen my GP 3 or 4 times and they aren't taking me seriously and it's driving me nuts. I went to the GP at the request of the nurse last week, he took my BP and that was it. He referred to me the neurologist and the first appt is Jan 2025. I have no idea if it's a coincidence but I have pins and needles in my right arm and shoulder, quite frequently.
I've been to my GP was so many things over the past two years but all stuff they've asked me to get seen about. A gynae due to hyperplasia after a scan at the request of the GP). Tubes up my nose and down my throat which showed hernia and GERD, and more recently a heart scan which has shown that I have mitral valve prolapse. I feel like I'm falling apart and did ask my GP if this was just another delight of menopause, I've had them all. All the GP did was sit and pick his nails whilst being really dismissive.
Where do I go from her as this issue isn't in my head, excuse the pun. I can't fake blurred vision or pins and needles. How can I get them to take me seriously? I think this more recent GP took one look at my records and thinks I'm a hypocondriac. I feel like I need to report him at least for picking his nails instead of dismissing me.
Any help greatly appreciated.
