I'm 43 and have been suffering with PMDD for as long as I can remember. I finally got diagnosed a few months ago and had my first three month decapeptyl injection 5 weeks ago to induce a chemical menopause. I've read all the info on how it can cause depression and anxiety, but this is something I already suffer from and has been ruining my life. So I'm really hopeful for this medication to work for me. The thing is that I feel like my usual cycle has/is happening, but without having an actual period (which would have come a week ago had I not had the injection). Does anyone have any experience of how long it can take for the mental issues from PMDD to subside? I was feeling quite hopeful when I was given the treatment, but now I'm worried it won't change anything for me. Thanks to anyone that has some insight to share!
