I'm 40 years old. Always had regular periods, no problems, feel I know my body very well. Have 3 children, all 3 were c-sections. Still breastfeeding my youngest aged 21months. My period came quite early this month - 23 days, rather than usual 27-28 days. Lasted 5 days as normal. 2 days later I started bleeding again, bright red, spotting to light bleeding. Mostly noticeable when I wipe going for a wee. 3 days later this I'd still happening. 100% not pregnant.
I had a very bad virus last week (covid negative) and have had a ultrasound and vaginal ultrasound last week following stabbing pains in my right side. Both scans were clear. This bleeding started 5 days after the scans. I've just filled in an econsult for my doctors. I'm worried, anybody have any thoughts on why this is happening? It's never happened before and so unusual for me.
