I have been panicking since last week, but can't get a doctor's appointment until the 29th so thought I would come here for some support or advice.
I've never had a bartholyn's cyst, so I am unsure if this is what it is but I have a lump down there, and some swelling. I started with discomfort / itching last Thursday and admit I had been itching (thought it was from hair growing back after shaving). I don't know if I have just itched it so bad - in my sleep as well - that I have given myself a friction burn, or whether it is a bartholyn's cyst or god forbid something worse?
I have health anxiety and have managed to convince myself it's vulval cancer, it has been itchy and it is not comfortable trying to sit in jeans. I do have pictures I can post if needed.
From what I've read of bartholyn's cysts, they tend to be round the actual entrance to the vagina where is my lump is to the right of my clitoris and my left labia is swollen.
Has anyone had anything similar? Can you recommend any treatment? I'm really working myself up.
