Ovarian cyst pain

I've been getting pain and heaviness around the time of ovulation (but I have a nexplanon implant so not supposed to be ovulating) for about a year. It isn't like "mittelschmirtz" - it's in the left groin and comes and goes. Mainly at night. Intense waves of dull ache.
Also heaviness and dull ache radiating to anus and vagina. This lasts about 10 days and ends around the start of my period.

I've already had my investigations and they found a 5cm simple thin walled avascular cyst on that left ovary. No blood in stool or urine.

The only thing is absolutely everyone seems to say they get no pain from ovarian cysts, but mine seems to be getting worse and seems to be due to hormones after ovulation.

Has anyone experienced this?

I guess deep down I'm worried it's a sign of a torsion risk, but I go nearly 3 weeks a month with no symptoms. And the pain is not severe.

Have you seen a gynae about the avascular cyst?.

Any pain that is cyclical in nature and or gets worse up to and including menses should be checked out to see if endometriosis is present.

More likely it's endo, mines like this follows ovulation, tends start around cd 8-10 and gets worse and worse then slopes off again cd 18-20.

I have a gynae referral but i won't be seen until after my follow up scan in 6 months. I think I'm just looking for reassurance in the meantime.
