I was wondering if I could have some help....

Normal ranges

TSH- 0.38 to 5.33
T4 - 7.9 to 14.4
T3 - 3.8-6

9th October

TSH - 0.12
T4 - 14.1
T3 - 6.5

5th December

TSH - 2
T4 - 11.8
T3 - 4.8

I am on 150mg/d and have been since 2016 and have only increased my dose when pregnant.

Why would my thyroid go randomly overactive, and two months later, be perfectly fine.

My GP wanted to reduce my dose to 100mg/d and I said no, I want a retest in 2 months to check it wasn't a mistake.

Is your thyroid condition autoimmune ? Maybe your own thyroid had a bit of a fire up on its own and produced a bit of its own hormone?

I had RAI due to an AI disease so my thyroid is pretty dead. It is just so random.

At least your doctor discussed it with you. I put in a repeat prescription and got a completely different dose, had to ask for it to be changed back. Didn’t even have a blood test so it felt a little weird they just changed the dose randomly. Suppose it could have just been a mistake.
