No period after having tubes tied

i had my tubes tied after a c section 8 months ago and i have only had one period. Has this happened to anybody else?

I've not been through this but googled and I don't think it's right to not have had any periods. Best have a chat with your gp to check everything is ok. I do hope it is.

Are you breast feeding? That could account for it?

Wouldn't say this is usual. My consultant said my periods shouldn't change after having my tubes tied and I've had periods since mine were done 8 months ago too!

Really obvious question, is there a chance you could be pregnant? Apparently if done during a section the failure rate is higher.

I had one tube tied and one chopped out during surgary (soon after being pg, then loosing baby and had not had a period for about 3 months, due to all of above) but it came back almost exactly 4 weeks after my surgary.

I had mine snipped & tied 18 months ago and I've had a period every single month since x

@Notts90 Thankyou lovely, ill phone up the doctors. i have done some tests just incase of eptopic pregnancy but they are negtive
