Long term PCOS management - is myo inositol suitable?

Hi all, wondering if anyone else has PCOS which they have found responds well to myo inositol?

I’ve found it works very well for me, reducing hair shedding, excess body hair and regulating my periods (managed to get pregnant twice using it). I don’t want any more babies but would love to avoid the thinning hair etc!

My GP doesn’t know much about it as it’s a food supplement rather than a medication. I’d love to know if anyone has taken it long term or if any other products/medications have worked?

I don’t want to take oral contraceptives as I’m almost 40, which seems to be the default solution.
