Period now only 2 days?

Hi team! So my period has always been the same- comes on the exact same day every month, heavy for the first 2 days then lightens up but always lasting 5 days, normal cramps etc… this has been the same since forever.

For the past 3 cycles, my period is only lasting 2 days? Not heavier than usual but just two days and then stops completely. No change in lifestyle, no stress, no medication, Pap smear was clear last month, not pregnant. It’s just so random!

Has this happened to anyone? Not worried or anything, just curious as to why the sudden change in pattern!

How old are you? My period got noticeably shorter when I was around 39

@Whataretheodds i’m 29 so hoping it’s not early menopause! I haven’t spoken to my gp about it because it doesn’t bother me and I feel healthy but wondering if maybe I should look into it more 🤷🏻‍♀️

I'm having a similar thing now op. I'm 31. My periods over the last year have become a lot shorter. And lighter. I went to my gp and had bloods done, she said everything was fine as I was thinking am I going through peri menopause!

I think the advice is to go to your GP if you notice a change in your menstrual cycle. You have a clearly established pattern and a clear deviation from it.

Have you changed your diet, contraception, multivits, exercise? Any pain? Weight loss/gain? Hair on face? Acne? Hair greasiness? Worth noting anything like this.

(I am pregnant now so doesn't mean your necessarily in peri!)

Hey hope you don't mind me asking as I have the same issue. Period stops after 2 days quote abruptly. You mentioned the above symptoms and I have noticed them for myself. Random facial hair growth, hair greasy and scalp itchy a lot. Could this be pre menopause symptoms? I am 29 also.
