Hip bursitis

Urgh....My left hip area has been sore and has resulted in lower back pain.
I'm very active with a 4 year old.
I'm up and down from playing on the playroom floor to walking to going to the playground.
All now resulted in hip bursitis to my left hip. GP said due to relative movements such as left leg into the car, repeat repeat. Baby / toddler / preschooler on left hip 🤦🏻‍♀️

I've been prescribed anti inflammatory tablets. Currently on day two.
Im yet to see a physiotherapist.
Just wondering if anyone has had the same thing.
I've read mixed things like you should be active but not too active ! Walking ok but not, as it flares.
Urgh feeling rubbish.

Please help

What has your doctor advised?

I had this in the summer. I was given strong anti-inflammatories and stretching exercises to do. Told to not do anything too high impact for a few weeks, but I kept walking my kids to school etc (nearly two miles there and back so not just down the road!)

It’s a lot better than it was but by no means perfect. I walked more than four miles yesterday and I can feel it now.

I didn’t get referred to a physio. Maybe that’s why it’s not gone away completely. I hope you have better luck!

Thanks for replying @Iamnotaloggrip

GP advised some walking, absolutely no running until I've seen a physio.

I'm taking anti inflammatory.

How did you find sleeping?
It's the pain at the bottom of my back and across to my hip that is worse.
I have been pushing it doing lawn mowing thinking I was fine to do that! That was a few months ago which is what I think started this.
Although there was no pain ache after.

Using my left leg constantly stepping into the car, pushing a heavy shopping trolley - my DD often wants to get in!!!!

Ive been sat in a high backed dinner chair with a cushion under me to raise my hips higher than my knees.

GP said it would take weeks to clear.

Just finding it hard. It's been weeks up to this pain on and off.

Have you had scans or ultrasound done to confirm the diagnosis?

A cortisone injection can work wonders.

The GP got me to lie on my back, put one leg up , turn my head to the other side, squat low , walk on tip toes, walk on back of foot.
None of that caused any significant pain.
She then pressed along my back and then the left side over my hip.
Middle of back tendor and left hip was sore.
I'm going to get physio done hopefully this week.
It's not like I'm standing up screaming in pain but I'm very aware of my movements now.
Certainly won't be pushing a mower around the garden!

I've felt this ache on my left hip for a while now. I thought it was PMS.

I tend to sleep on the other side anyway so it wasn’t too bad, but a little painful. I was told that a cortisone injection would be the next step if the anti-inflammatories didn’t clear it. It hasn’t been quite bad enough for me to go back though.
