Hello all,
Went to the doctor as for the last 12 months I have been an absolute mess. Emotions extremely volatile and all over the place, knackered all the time, changes to my period etc. I had a strong suspicion I was peri menopausal and armed myself with information to see the nurse. She was actually very nice and referred me for a blood test but did say I likely anything will show up. She also put me on the combined pill to see if we can regulate my hormones.
She phoned today to say she and the doctor have referred me to the hospital as "all" my hormones are low? Neither of them were sure what that meant? She did stress that the blood test said ovary something or other was ok so no sign of a cancer.
Surely low hormones is just a sign of peri menopause? I've googled and it's difficult to find out what "all" being low means. It tends to just pick up on just one. I also see we have 7 hormones? So now I'm even more confused.
Anyway, I've been referred to endocrinology. Any ideas?
