Chances of getting HRT?

Evening all I'm looking for some advice if possible please. I'm 41 and married with a three year old boy and a two year old. I'm currently experiencing what I firmly believe to be perimenopause symptoms and they're having a real impact on my health.

My periods have gone from 3 days light bleeding with minimum pain to not have a period from July to October and then flooding for around 8 days with quiet strong pain. I've had an emergency section and a severe bout of SPD in my first pregnancy (baby was 10lbs 5oz!) and I was reallllly heavy. I've since lost 3.5 stone, I walk as often as possible, drink gallons of water (and a little too much wine!)

The insomnia, bad dry skin and my major PMT is pretty depressing too! I've got an appointment with an advanced nurse practitioner at my GP tomorrow. She's lovely (always there with the boys, chest infections is this months illness 🙄😭) and I realllllly want to be put on HRT. I definitely will not consider anti depressants as I had postnatal psychosis and have fought long and hard to get off anti depressants and am proud of that!

Any advice is welcome please, I'm a bit clueless but have just heard that the NHS seems to hold back on HRT, no idea if this true 🤷‍♀️
