I suspect it’s just par for the course now at my age (48) but my periods have started going haywire. I’ve always had a 29/30 day cycle but recently it’s been anything from 18 days to 31 days and this month only 13 days since the last one. I’ve had one month where I had some spotting in between so tbh I don’t know if I’d call this last one spotting / bleeding between aswell or a very light period.
will I look a fool if I ring the doc
or is this just a what happens with peri ?

I am a bit older than you and my periods are fairly regular- saw the GP after one episode of spotting and she took swabs and when they were clear referred me for an ultrasound. This showed polyps and she’s referred me to gynae. I would def speak to your GP. At our age it’s too easy to thing everything relates to peri

I used a period tracker for 2 years while it was like this. After one particularly heavy bleed I saw the doctor. Ultrasound was all clear so they put me on tranexamic acid. My periods finally stopped aged 51. I started continuous HRT 18mths after my last period because my sleeep pattern was so disrupted.
